The Homegrown Experience is a new event organized by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB). Aligning with the MPRB Mission & Vision Statements, this event will focus on sustainability, connecting people to the land and providing healthy and enjoyable experiences. The event will feature chef demonstrations, local restaurants, farmers, CSAs, co-ops, food producers, local vintners and brewers. In addition, an outdoor Farmers Market will be featured. Participants will be able to sip, sample, purchase and, most importantly, learn about local, sustainable and organic foods. We are proud to offer a unique component to the event in the form of education. Through an educational stage as well as the ability to talk one-on-one with local food producers and chefs, people will gain greater understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from, and how to enjoy it-- the Homegrown way.
